Rivers & Trails staff work with communty groups and local and State governments to conserve rivers, preserve open space, and develop trails and greenways. In 2004, they are assisting approximately 300 community projects.

This was a vision to link existing parkland from the Delaware River to the Brandywine by acquiring missing links of open space to create an emerald necklace of parkland just north of Wilmington. A hiking and biking trail across the interconnected parkland is planned and underway. |
