Winding Trails Recreation Association

This outdoor center includes 350 acres of woodland, 100 acre Dunning Lake, 8 acre Walton Pond, 12 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing.

Winding Trails is a member of the National Off Road Biking Association (NORBA) and runs two annual cross country bike races each year (April's Fat Tire Classic and October's Smashing Pumpkins) as part of NORBA's National Series.

Hours of Operation: Daily from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.

Woodbury Ski Area

. . . ski area located in Southwestern Connecticut. The mountain (hill) has just a 300 foot vertical drop. This small ski resort is a family oriented park. Several half pipe and terrain parks, along with an in-line skate and bike park are available.

Hours of Operation: Weekdays and weekends: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
