Mercer County Park Overview Mercer County Park encompasses over 2500 acres covering areas of the Townships of West Windsor, Hamilton and Lawrence. The Park has year round facilities for all ages and includes both active and passive recreational opportunities. There is a 100 acre Athletic Complex that includes twelve softball fields, seven soccer fields, championship baseball fields and 18 basketball half-courts. Mercer County's Public Outdoor Tennis Center, Boat Marina, Ice Skating Center, and Picnic Areas are all located in Mercer County Park.
Trail Description Mercer County Park is becoming a favorite mountain bike destination in the Trenton-Mercer County area. A network of previously unmarked and illegal trails has been transformed through a partnership of The Mercer County Parks Commission and SMART (Save Mercer and Ride the Trails). SMART built, maintains and patrols the trail system. There are well-maintained trails here for riders of all skill levels. The terrain is mostly flat single and double track with some small hills. This is a great place for the beginner to develop riding skills with its healthy dose of obstacles including tight turns, roots and logs. Trails near and to the left of the Marina are suitable for novice riders. Trails along the water by the reservoir are more appropriate for the intermediate rider. The most challenging trails are past the tennis courts and across the lake and stream (north side of the park). Here the trails get more technical with logs and some very tight, twisty singletrack. At times you will barely have room to pass between trees without catching your bar ends.
